Man City sign Palmeiras winger Allan for £34m

Manchester City have strengthened their squad with the acquisition of winger Allan Elias from Brazilian club Palmeiras. The initial fee stands at £32m, with an additional £2.2m in add-ons, and the 22-year-old has put pen to paper on a five-year contract.

Allan arrives as a direct replacement for compatriot Savio, who joined Tottenham Hotspur for £75m last week. During his time with Palmeiras, the right-sided winger made 96 appearances across all competitions, scoring nine goals and providing 12 assists, and was named the best breakthrough player in the Brazilian top flight in 2025.

Expressing his delight, Allan described the move as a surreal and proud moment, highlighting Manchester City's winning pedigree over the past 15 years as a major factor in his decision.

The transfer is part of a busy summer window for manager Enzo Maresca's side, with City having spent over £230m while raising more than £286m through player sales, including Rodri's move to Barcelona.
