West Ham accept £40m Brentford bid for Diouf

Brentford have reached a verbal agreement with West Ham to sign 21-year-old left-back El Hadji Malick Diouf in a package worth up to £40m. The deal consists of an initial £35m with a further £5m in add-ons.

West Ham have accepted the bid and Diouf has been cleared to undergo a medical. He was previously excluded from the Hammers' past two matchday squads after playing in their Championship opener against Burnley.

Diouf joined West Ham last year from Slavia Prague in a £19m deal, making 34 appearances and providing five assists last season. His impending sale represents a significant profit for the club following their relegation.

If finalized, Diouf would become Brentford's fifth summer signing, joining previous arrivals Callum Wilson, Mamadou Sangare, Jannik Schuster, and Jaidon Anthony under manager Keith Andrews.
