Coventry City have completed the signing of English defender Stephen Mfuni on a season-long loan deal from Manchester City. The 18-year-old can operate effectively at both centre-back and left-back.
Mfuni has made one senior appearance for Manchester City as a substitute in an FA Cup match against Exeter City. He also spent time on loan at Watford last season, making eight appearances in the Championship.
The England Under-19 international becomes Coventry head coach Frank Lampard's 11th signing following the club's promotion to the Premier League. Mfuni expressed his excitement about joining such a strong squad.
Coventry currently sit 18th in the Premier League after losing their opening two matches against Arsenal and Hull City. They will return to action with an away fixture on September 5.
