Hull City had reached an agreement with Eintracht Frankfurt to sign Jean-Matteo Bahoya, and the player was given permission to undergo a medical.
However, the 21-year-old ultimately decided against making the switch to the Premier League newcomers, causing the deal to fall through.
The France Under-21 international has recorded seven goals and eight assists in 78 matches for Frankfurt since his arrival in 2024.
Bahoya, who holds the Bundesliga speed record of 23.09mph, would have become the Tigers' 13th signing of the summer transfer window.
