Ollie Watkins has completed his £51m transfer from Aston Villa to Saudi Pro League side Al-Hilal. The 30-year-old striker, who is Villa's record Premier League scorer with 91 goals, has signed a three-year deal with the club.
During his six years at Villa, Watkins played a pivotal role in the team's rise under manager Unai Emery, helping them secure a top-six status and win the Europa League, their first European trophy in 44 years.
In a farewell message on social media, Watkins expressed his gratitude to the fans, staff, and former managers Dean Smith, Steven Gerrard, and Unai Emery, emphasizing that Birmingham will always remain his home.
Meanwhile, Aston Villa are finalizing a £29m deal for Southampton defender Taylor Harwood-Bellis as the club makes several squad changes ahead of the transfer deadline.
