Sunderland have completed the signing of Austria defender Kevin Danso from Tottenham on a loan deal until the end of the season. The deal costs the club 2.5 million pounds.
The transfer will become permanent next summer for a fee of 22.5 million pounds if Regis Le Bris' side remain in the Premier League. Danso expressed excitement about joining a big club with huge ambition.
The 27-year-old made 52 appearances for Spurs after signing from RC Lens in January 2025 and helped them win the Europa League in the same year. He will bolster Sunderland ahead of their first European campaign since 1973.
Meanwhile, Tottenham are closing in on moves for Chelsea defender Tosin Adarabioyo and attacker Mykhailo Mudryk ahead of the transfer deadline.
