Stevenage bring in Casey and Setford on loan

Stevenage have strengthened their squad with the loan signings of West Ham defender Kaelan Casey and Arsenal goalkeeper Tommy Setford until the end of the season.

Casey, 21, joined West Ham at the age of five and was part of their 2023 FA Youth Cup-winning squad. He made his senior debut against Luton Town in the Premier League the following year.

The defender gained experience last season during loan spells with Championship side Swansea City and League One club Leyton Orient. He also featured in West Ham's League Cup victory at Southampton last month.

Setford, a 20-year-old Netherlands-born goalkeeper, has represented England across all youth levels from Under-16 to Under-21. He joined the Arsenal academy from Ajax in 2024 and has made two first-team appearances under Mikel Arteta.
