Sarr needs time to process failed Liverpool move, says Sage

Crystal Palace forward Ismaila Sarr requires time to digest the disappointment of his proposed move to Liverpool falling through before the transfer window closed.

Sage acknowledged that playing for a club like Liverpool is a dream for many players, noting that Sarr had a great opportunity that ultimately did not work out.

The 28-year-old Senegal international has missed the start of the Premier League season due to a groin injury and remains sidelined for the upcoming match against Fulham.

During deadline day negotiations, Palace also pursued Belgium forward Malick Fofana, but the player ultimately chose to leave Lyon for Sunderland in a 30 million pound deal.
