Noni Madueke has scored two goals this season for Arsenal in all competitions. Although he has started just one Premier League game, his decisive goal against Nottingham Forest demonstrated why Mikel Arteta values him as one of his key finishers.
Arsenal's summer search for an elite forward led to the arrival of Christos Tzolis, who became the first-choice winger. However, a hamstring injury to Tzolis has given Madueke the chance to secure more playing time and prove his worth.
Madueke performed well against Leeds and assisted a goal against Lille in the Champions League. Coming on at half-time against Forest, he followed Arteta's instructions and scored an 80th-minute deflected winner.
Despite initial skepticism from some fans after his move from Chelsea, Madueke has contributed significantly to Arsenal's recent successes. Arteta and England manager Thomas Tuchel both highly praise his special character and exceptional one-on-one abilities.
