Manchester City have opened formal talks with Chelsea in their bid to secure midfielder Enzo Fernandez. The potential transfer is shaping up to be one of the major deals of the summer window.
Chelsea are reportedly demanding a minimum fee of £120m for the 25-year-old Argentina international. Fernandez previously worked with City manager Enzo Maresca and is open to making the switch to Etihad Stadium.
If both clubs can successfully agree on a fee, the transfer is expected to be completed quickly as personal terms will not present an obstacle.
Fernandez could potentially become one of the most expensive signings in Premier League history, following a turbulent period at Stamford Bridge.
