Everton agree to re-sign Jack Grealish on loan from Manchester City

Everton have reached an agreement with Manchester City for Jack Grealish to return to the club on a season-long loan. The 30-year-old is set for a medical with the Toffees ahead of Tuesday's 23:00 BST transfer deadline.

Grealish spent a large portion of the previous campaign at Everton, contributing two goals and six assists in 20 appearances before suffering a season-ending foot injury in January. Despite interest from other clubs, including Aston Villa, his preference was to rejoin Everton.

In addition to the Grealish deal, Everton have agreed a 3 million pound fee to sign Ainsley Maitland-Niles from French side Lyon and are closing in on Monaco forward Folarin Balogun. Meanwhile, winger Iliman Ndiaye is expected to move in the opposite direction to City in a 65 million pound switch.

Everton are also managing potential exits, with Scotland defender Nathan Patterson in talks over a possible move to Torino. The Merseyside club will return to Premier League action on Sunday when they host Manchester United.
