Tottenham agree loan for Man City's Marmoush

Tottenham have reached an agreement with Manchester City to sign forward Omar Marmoush on loan. The deal includes an obligation for the north London club to buy the 27-year-old permanently next summer for £60m.

The Egypt international joined City from Eintracht Frankfurt for £59m last January and scored 16 goals in 62 appearances for the club. However, he struggled for regular minutes while competing alongside Erling Haaland.

Spurs have spent over £312m on transfers this summer, having already brought in players such as Mateus Fernandes, Sandro Tonali and Jan Paul van Hecke, alongside several free transfers.

Marmoush's tactical flexibility and ability to play across the front line are expected to fit well into the system used by Tottenham manager Roberto de Zerbi.
