Coventry City have confirmed the signing of Toulouse winger Yann Gboho, who is the cousin of Paris St-Germain and France forward Desire Doue. A deal for the 25-year-old was agreed and submitted to the Premier League prior to Tuesday's transfer deadline.
The transfer required ratification from Fifa, which has since been provided, though the move remains subject to UK visa approval. Gboho was born in the Ivory Coast and represented France at youth level.
During his time at Toulouse, Gboho made 83 appearances across all competitions and scored 19 goals. He previously started his career at Rennes, had a loan spell at Vitesse Arnhem, and played for Cercle Brugge.
Newly promoted Coventry have spent more than £100m this summer, with Gboho arriving as their 12th summer signing. Frank Lampard's side prepare to face Manchester City in the Premier League on Saturday.
