Tottenham have secured the signing of Manchester City forward Omar Marmoush on a loan deal that runs until the end of the season. The agreement includes an obligation to make the transfer permanent next summer for a fee of £60m.
The 27-year-old Egypt international will join up with former City team-mate Savio in north London. Marmoush stated that Tottenham Hotspur is one of the biggest clubs in the world and expressed his excitement about working with head coach Roberto de Zerbi.
Marmoush joined City from Eintracht Frankfurt in January 2025 and scored 16 goals in 62 appearances. However, following a bright start, he frequently featured from the bench last term behind Erling Haaland, and played as a substitute in City's Community Shield defeat against Arsenal.
Spurs have been heavily active in the transfer market this summer, spending in excess of £312m. Their other arrivals include Mateus Fernandes, Sandro Tonali, Jan Paul van Hecke, Marcos Senesi, Andy Robertson, and Martin Dubravka.
Welcoming the new signing, De Zerbi praised Marmoush as an ambitious and intelligent player with incredible attacking quality who will bring pace and a real threat in front of goal.
