Nottingham Forest are working on a deal to secure Chelsea striker Liam Delap. The 23-year-old has been put up for sale for fifty million pounds and is currently training away from the first-team squad.
It remains unconfirmed whether the discussions involve a permanent transfer or a loan deal, though the two clubs share a positive working relationship. Delap was omitted from the squad to face Fulham and recently lost his number nine shirt to Joao Pedro.
His potential exit comes roughly a year after his thirty million pound switch from Ipswich Town, following an injury-plagued season where he managed just one Premier League goal.
Forest have been busy in the transfer window, adding several players while selling Elliot Anderson to Manchester City for a record sum. Delap would provide additional competition for Chris Wood and Igor Jesus at the City Ground.
