Barry-Murphy expects Cardiff to make signing soon

Cardiff City boss Brian Barry-Murphy anticipates that the Bluebirds will finalize a transfer prior to their EFL Cup second-round fixture against Norwich City on Tuesday.

The team was left without a recognized central defender during their 2-2 draw at Derby County due to a severe injury crisis that sidelined Gabriel Osho, Dylan Lawlor, Calum Chambers, and Will Fish.

As a result, full-backs Perry Ng and Joel Bagan had to fill in at centre-half. Barry-Murphy emphasized that the club works diligently as a team on transfers to ensure squad improvement without wasting financial resources.

So far this season, Cardiff's permanent signings include goalkeeper Nathan Trott and attacker Jack Moylan, alongside full-back Calum Scanlon returning on loan from Liverpool.
