Borussia Dortmund have completed the signing of 19-year-old midfielder Ethan Nwaneri on a season-long loan from Arsenal.
The move comes after Dortmund's recent signing Giannis Konstantelias suffered a significant knee injury during a 2-0 victory over Hamburg.
Managing director Lars Ricken described Nwaneri as a very talented midfielder and noted that securing his services was the best possible solution for the squad.
Nwaneri previously spent the second half of last season on loan at Marseille after finding first-team opportunities limited under manager Mikel Arteta.
In a separate deal, fellow Arsenal midfielder Fabio Vieira has completed a permanent transfer to Hamburg after a previous loan spell with the German club.
