Chelsea goalkeeper Emiliano Martinez has confirmed that he will be fit in a few weeks after undergoing surgery following a Premier League win at Everton.
The 34-year-old Argentina international reportedly suffered a broken jaw after colliding with Everton defender Jarrad Branthwaite during the match.
Writing on social media while wearing a hospital gown, Martinez thanked supporters for their messages and stated that the operation went well.
Young goalkeeper Mike Penders is now expected to step in for Chelsea's upcoming fixtures against Tottenham, Manchester United, and Liverpool.
