Tottenham Hotspur have rejected a season-long loan offer from Sunderland for central defender Kevin Danso.
The 27-year-old Austria international made his first appearance of the season during Wednesday's Carabao Cup victory against Charlton as a second-half substitute.
Danso's first-team opportunities are expected to be limited following the arrivals of Marcos Senesi and Jan Paul van Hecke, alongside Micky van de Ven signing a new contract and becoming captain.
It remains uncertain if Sunderland will maintain their pursuit of the player, who initially joined Tottenham from Lens on loan in January 2025 before completing a permanent transfer later that year.
