Nottingham Forest to bid £40m for Everton teenager Harrison Armstrong

Nottingham Forest has launched an ambitious move to strengthen their squad before the transfer window closes by preparing a £40m offer plus a potential sell-on clause for Everton midfielder Harrison Armstrong.

The 19-year-old England Under-19 international has made 23 appearances for Everton and recently started in their Premier League victory against Crystal Palace.

While it remains unclear whether Everton will accept any offers, the mere prospect of losing their brightest home-grown prospect has sparked disbelief and anger among supporters.

Allowing the teenager to join Forest could provoke a major backlash against Everton's American owners, especially as manager David Moyes has been vocal about needing reinforcements this summer.
