Fulham are holding discussions to secure the transfer of Romania defender Andrei Ratiu from Rayo Vallecano. The 28-year-old player is reportedly open to making the move to Craven Cottage.
Manager Alvaro Arbeloa is keen to reinforce his defensive options before the transfer window closes on Tuesday night. Ratiu is primarily a right-back, though he is also capable of playing in other positions.
Ratiu has spent nearly his entire club career in Spain after starting in Villarreal's academy, with the exception of a loan spell at Dutch club ADO Den Haag, before joining Rayo Vallecano in 2023.
The club has already been active in the transfer market this summer, bringing in several new players following their recent Premier League and Carabao Cup fixtures.
