Grealish back for Man City - but for how long?

Jack Grealish is back in the fold at Manchester City as he enters the final year of his contract. The 30-year-old spent last season on loan at Everton, but his spell was cut short in January by an Achilles tendon injury after an impressive start on Merseyside.

Having regained full fitness, the Englishman has already featured in both of City's matches this season. He appeared as a substitute against Arsenal in the Community Shield and played the final minutes of the Premier League opening win over Bournemouth.

Working under new manager Enzo Maresca, Grealish has earned a fresh start in the squad during pre-season training. However, no guarantees have been given about his stay beyond the transfer deadline on Tuesday, September 1, with club sources leaving all options open.

Everton have not yet made a concrete offer to bring him back, though chief executive Angus Kinnear acknowledged they remain in contact with the player. Grealish previously impressed during his time with the Toffees, winning the Premier League Player of the Month award last August.
