Man City will try to find the new Rodri, says Maresca

Rodri left Manchester City after seven successful seasons at the Etihad Stadium to sign a four-year contract with La Liga champions Barcelona for a fee of around 65 million pounds.

Manager Enzo Maresca acknowledged the challenge of filling the gap left by the 2024 Ballon d'Or winner, comparing the situation to previous departures of club legends like David Silva and Sergio Aguero.

City are expected to remain active in the final days of the transfer window, having already signed Elliot Anderson from Nottingham Forest and holding discussions regarding several other players.

Maresca emphasized that squad changes are normal in football and expressed confidence in the club's recruitment team to find the right solutions before the window closes.
